For this project we have to create an improbable invention of a device that offers an apparently logical solution to a problem related to sustainability .
I have been thinking about this for quite a while until I actually came up with an idea. And then while actually watching the TV I thought about a sustainable TV with a TV stand for it . Everyone or almost everyone has a TV and it is a very used device, it also uses electricity that could be spared . So I thought why not make a TV that doesn’t need external electricity but make its own ? The TV would have a solar panel behind the display to auto charge itself so you won’t have to plug it anymore. Also , the stand is walking and adjusting itself to where the light is the best to charge while not in use.
Now the next question was ..How is this going to look? And that is where I was actually blocked because I thought about some robot legs but then I was questioning myself about it thinking ”Would it not take a lot of space with robot legs ? and what about the esthetics of the stand? Would people actually want a TV that looks like a robot? Maybe some, some definitely wouldn’t. I have to keep it reasonably simple. So I started searching a lot of robot legs and to try to think of a more elegant way to design this so it would blend a bit more with the idea of a TV stand. And then I found those TV stands from the picture below which I honestly didn’t even know they existed. They have wheels and in my opinion that was a great place to start with the design. Now of course I want to make the stand a bit more futuristic and it has to have a system to move by itself. If it just has wheels, then something has to push it.
